A fatal accident involving a motorcycle and a car, resulting in the motorcyclist’s death occurred early Monday (July 25th).
The accident caused a huge traffic jam on the Kranji Expressway (KJE). The accident took place in the direction of the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) near Brickland Road exit.
The Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said they received a call around 5.27 am informing them about the accident. They dispatched one fire engine, one red rhino and one support vehicle to the location of the accident.
The 60-year-old motorcyclist was trapped and was extricated by the SCDF personnel. Subsequently, paramedics declared him dead. A man in his 20’s was admitted to the National University Hospital. Another man in his 40’s was conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. Two others refused to be taken to a hospital.
