A high-speed chase ended with a traffic police car rear-ending a BMW, wrecking both vehicles.
Facebook group Roads.sg posted footage of the chase that led to the accident. The patrol car was in pursuit of a speeding Subaru, when the latter collided into the BMW.
The accident occurred at the junction between Geylang Road and Engku Aman Road on June 26, Sunday around 8.50 pm. Although the 28-year-old driver of the Subaru managed to escape initially, he was later arrested by the police for dangerous driving and driving-related offences.

The Subaru had sped off during a routine vehicle check, prompting the police vehicle to give chase. The police officer was sent to the Changi General Hospital after suffering minor injuries due to the accident.
Motorists caught for dangerous driving could face a fine of up to S$3,000 and jail of up to 12 months, or both. For repeat offenders, the fine goes up to S$5,000 and the maximum jail term is two years.
